How to set up an eSIM on your iPhone (step by step)

An eSIM lets your iPhone hold a travel data plan alongside your normal SIM — no swapping, no lost trays. Here's the full setup.
Before you start
- iPhone XS, XR or newer (eSIM-capable).
- A stable Wi-Fi connection.
- The QR code we email and WhatsApp you after purchase.
Install the eSIM
- Open Settings → Cellular / Mobile Data → Add eSIM.
- Tap 'Use QR Code' and scan the code we sent you.
- Label the plan (e.g. 'Travel') and finish.
Turn on data at your destination
- Set the travel eSIM as your Mobile Data line.
- Enable Data Roaming on that line (this is required and does not trigger home-carrier charges).
- Leave your primary SIM for calls and texts.
